Election Information

Clifton ISD Board of Trustee Elections are conducted in May of each year in accordance with the Texas Secretary of State Uniform General Election Date.

Candidates interested in filing an application for a place on the ballot can file their application the 30th day before the filing deadline. The filing deadline for a general election is 5 p.m. on the 78th day before the election day. The deadline to file a declaration of write-in candidacy is 5 p.m. on the 74th day before the election. Deadlines for the 2025 General Election is below.

The filing dates for the May 3, 2025 election is Wednesday, January 15, 2025, through Friday, February 14, 2025.
The filing date for the declaration of write-in candidacy is Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Applications can be filed from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Clifton ISD Administration Office located at 1102 Key Ave, Clifton, Texas 76634.

Clifton ISD Board of Trustees consist of seven elected trustees. Each term is three years, and the seating is rotated each year as follows:

3 Seats -2023-2026-2029-2032
2 Seats -2024-2027-2030-2033
2 Seats -2025-2028-2031-2034
