#TeamCISD Families and Community,
After careful consideration, along with discussions with our #TeamCISD Leadership Team, as well as with local law enforcement and County emergency management personnel, the decision has been made, and approved by our #TeamCISD School Board, to not have school on April 8, 2024. With the projected number of visitors to Clifton and Bosque County for the eclipse, I believe not having school that day will be the safest decision for students and staff. Also, the eclipse is scheduled to end about 3:00 p.m., which is just prior to the time buses would be leaving our campuses and could very well be caught up in the gridlock of the expected traffic. Currently, the district has enough minutes banked to avoid having to make the day up. Questions, comments or concerns? Please contact me on my cell phone, 254-707-1503, office phone, 254-675-1825 or by email, andy.ball@cliftonisd.org. AB

#TeamCISD Families and Community,
Although some of the main highways and roads in our district are currently dry, that is not the case for many of our outlying area and County roads. Therefore, in order to allow all of our drivers, including students, staff and buses, better light and more time to get to school safely, Clifton ISD will have a delayed start on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. Classes will start at 10:00 a.m. Buses will run two hours later than normal. All campus doors will open and breakfast will be served at 9:00 a.m. Questions, comments or concerns? Please contact me on my cell phone, 254-707-1503, office phone, 254-675-1825 or by email, andy.ball@cliftonisd.org. AB

#TeamCISD Parents and Community,
Clifton ISD, along with school districts across the State of Texas, received an email this morning claiming that a Russian terrorist organization had planted bombs in "multiple Texian schools". I have been notified that state and federal law enforcement have been contacted and, according to them, the email appears to be a hoax. Once I received the email, I immediately contacted Clifton PD Chief Blanton and, with the assistance of the Clifton PD, a complete sweep of district facilities was conducted. Overnight video footage, as well as our system that alerts us if any doors were opened, were checked and no evidence of any suspicious activity was found. We have no evidence that a bomb was planted anywhere on Clifton ISD property and no students or staff members were in danger at any time. Questions, comments or concerns? Please contact me on my cell phone,254-707-1503, office phone, 254-675-1825 or by email, andy.ball@cliftonisd.org.Andy Ball #TeamCISD Superintendent
