CTE students went to the YES! Expo in Waco to experience the diverse career and college opportunities within the Central Texas area. Students were able to interact and ask questions to potential employers/colleges in the area so they can chart their paths for their post-high school opportunities. Students learned about what degrees they need to pursue a job in their field of choice. Many of the businesses discussed the tuition reimbursement programs they offer once employed for a specific amount of time. Students mentioned they didn’t realize there are always more options in the career field beside the common job students generally think of first. We look forward to taking our students again next year.
