On Tuesday, October 24th, 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Clifton Elementary will be hosting its annual Fall Festival & Open House event. We encourage our students and their families to come out for a fun and relaxing evening to connect with educators as we celebrate the fall season. Each grade level will have some fun activities for everyone to enjoy. We will also have a pumpkin patch on campus and each CES student will be able to select a pumpkin to take home to carve with their family. Area food trucks will also be on-site to allow our families to have a hassle free evening without the need to worry about what’s for dinner.
This year we have a special guest author. Internationally acclaimed and award-winning children’s author, Murray Richter, will be on-site to provide special presentations for our students and their families about the creative process. Mr. Richter graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Journalism and has received numerous awards and accolades for his publications including:

Mr. Richter grew up around Lake Whitney. From the first second he held a fishing pole, he was hooked. To this day, he can’t pass a body of water without wondering what kind of fish (or bait) are cruising around in it. He also loves a good joke, and playing jokes on people - which is why he rarely answers his phone or opens email around April Fool’s day!
We hope you take the time to sit in on Murray Richter’s presentations during the Fall Festival & Open House. He will be set up in the CES Cafeteria and will present at 5:10 PM and 6:10 PM with Q & A sessions following each presentation. Mr. Richter will have a few books available for purchase and signing at the presentations as well as some free bookmarks to give away.
