As was announced earlier today, we received a report of a possible threat at Clifton Middle School. I notified Clifton Police Chief Blanton and an investigation was conducted by the Clifton PD and CISD administrators. Through that collaborative investigation, it was determined the threat was not credible and there was no imminent threat or danger to Clifton ISD students or staff. I appreciate the efforts put forth by Chief Blanton and all of our Clifton PD officers in making student and staff safety a priority.
I would like to thank everyone who reported their concerns through our StopIT app, as well as those that called or texted me. Although we may already know and are handling a concern, incident or situation, please do not assume that we do know; instead, reach out to us. Please understand all threats, or possible threats, will be taken seriously, investigated and addressed accordingly.
